Fur (f)or Black lives?

Tiffany Haddish has come forward with an unusual New Year's resolution. The comedian has social issues on her mind and has found a creative method to protest police brutality. She took to social media to share her novel way of demonstrating outrage caused by the murder of unarmed Black people by police. Her plan involves fashion.

The entertainer uploaded a video to circulate her message. "Imma wear fur every day until they stop killing Black people," she said. "When the police stop killing Black people, I'll stop wearing fur. That's my new protest."

This kind of protest also serves as a shot at animal rights activists who sometimes equate the killing of animals to that of human beings. Haddish acknowledges the importance of animal life while insisting on her priorities.

"So sorry PETA. Don't be mad at me. Be mad at the police. When they stop killing Black people, I'll stop wearing fur. See how that go? 'Cause people are important...so are the animals...to keep me warm," she said before switching back to her regular boisterous self. "This lil' racoon is so cute. I look good in this raccoon!"

There are no firm statistics on homicides committed by police. Citizens have been documenting incidents by video, thanks to increased access to technological advancements like social media.
