We just posted on Jussie Smollett and how he's pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of disorderly conduct but the conversation surrounded on the actor has more to do with his Empire character during yesterday's midseason premiere. The episode was of course filmed much before the controversy on Jussie staging a racial attack on himself and it has been announced that Jussie's character will be removed from the final two episodes of the seaon.
What's crazy, though, is that Jussie's on-screen character, Jamal, was dealing with issues with the media in last night's episode. “I don’t know if y’all been reading the blogs and all the foolishness, but it’s kinda been a tough week,” Jamal said in the show, according to Page Six.
While some have suggested that the show's writer, Lee Daniels, is some sort of physic we like to think it's just a major coincidence. As for the reactions online, people seem to be dived by feeling weird about watching Jussie on the screen, with others are still on his side, not down to believe he could have staged a racial and homophobic attack on himself for attention.
"I love Jamal I love his music , he’s so talented. I don’t see him doing nothing what people saying he “ so called did” cause the truth is yet out yet people are just going by “ blogs” and social media. I’m not believing none of that shit," one user tweeted.
