Desus & Mero also apply pressure on the young country star with an intense game of "Country Or Nah."

Desus & Mero are known for hosting nothing less than illustrious guests on their late-night show, whether it was on Viceland or their current home, Showtime. Since launching their new weekly show in February, they've brought a slew of guests from Vince Staples and 2 Chainz to Jordan Peele, Ben Stiller, AOC, and many more. The latest guest they brought on to their late-night show was none other than the hottest artist in country music right now, Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X performed his hit single, "Old Town Road" for the first time ever at Stagecoach alongside Billy Ray Cyrus and Diplo. Last night, he brought the country with him to Brooklyn as he sat down with Desus & Mero at Brooklyn's Hometown Bar B Que. Desus and Mero put Lil Nas X to the test with what's country and what's not. He also spoke about the scandal that surrounded "Old Town Road" on the charts.

"It's unreal but it's like that unfortunate situation ended up helping me," he replied after Mero asked how he felt about the initial controversy surrounding his single. Afterward, Lil Nas X took the stage along with his band for his first televised performance, and second overall performance, of his hit single which recently blocked Taylor Swift's recent single, "ME!" from taking the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
