The San Diego Padres have reportedly won the Manny Machado sweepstakes.

According to ESPN, Machado and the Padres agreed to a 10-year deal worth $300 million. He made $16 million between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Baltimore Orioles last season.

Machado, one of the most coveted free agents in recent memory, posted a career-high .905 OPS in 2018, and finished the season with a .297/.367/.538 slash line, 37 home runs, 107 RBIs and 14 stolen bases, according to ESPN.

The 26-year old short stop was traded from the Orioles to the Dodgers on July 18, in exchange for five minor leaguers. During his 66 regular-season games with the Dodgers, Machado hit .273 with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs.

In his seven MLB seasons, Machado has earned All-Star honors four times and won the Gold Glove Award twice as a third baseman. He spent most of this past season at shortstop, but produced the third-worst Defensive Runs Saved total (minus-13) among the 22 players with enough innings to qualify at that spot, according to ESPN.

The Padres finished last in the NL West last season with a record of 66-96.
