The Bryce Harper Sweepstakes finally comes to an end.

When the Washington Nationals season came to an end in October, Bryce Harper became a free agent for the first time in his 7-year career. At just 26 years old, Harper became the most coveted man in baseball, right next to Manny Machado. While Machado signed a 10-year, $300 million contract with the San Diego Padres just a few weeks ago, fans have been anxiously awaiting news on the Harper front. Well, you can finally go to bed at ease tonight as Harper has finally signed a contract. He will now be joining the Philadelphia Phillies after signing a contract worth $330 million over the next 13 years, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Considering the contract is for 13 years and even includes a no-trade clause, Phillies fans should rest assured that Harper is committed to being in Philadelphia for the long haul. Harper hit 34 home runs last season and finished ninth in on-base percentage. 2018 wasn't Harper's best season statistically but considering his age, he is approaching the prime of his career and the Phillies seem to agree based on the terms of the contract.

Only time will tell whether or not this move pays off for the Phillies who finished 80-82 last season.
