Would you pay that much for some leftover beard?

Julian Edelman has been a pretty popular guy as of late. Makes sense considering he won Super Bowl MVP in the New England Patriots big 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. In the aftermath of the big game, Edelman made his way to the Ellen Degeneres Show where Ellen shaved off his beard. Edelman's beard had grown pretty massive throughout the NFL season and had become a bit of a meme around the league. The wide receiver looked like a completely different person after being shaved and it was quite hilarious to see. Although, it was all done for a good cause as the beard shavings were kept and donated to CharityBuzz, according to TMZ. CharityBuzz is now auctioning off the clippings and donating the proceeds to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this whole saga is that the clippings are now going for over $2000, according to TMZ. The auction started at $1000 but quickly doubled and now sits at $2100. Usually, when someone wins Super Bowl MVP, the ball they played with, their jersey or even their game-worn helmet is what makes the big bucks. Although, seeing Edelman's clippings go for that much is pretty hilarious, although it's great that it will all go to charity.

We can only imagine what the person who wins his beard will do with it.
