At the end of last month, Macaulay Culkin announced that he was holding a public vote to determine what his new middle name would be. His old middle name was Carson, something he wanted to change for a long time. Culkin decided to have some fun with this though as he left it up to his fans to choose what outrageous phrase to put on his passport. Options included "Shark Week," "TheMcRibIsBack," "Publicity Stunt," and, of course, "Macaulay Culkin." Well, the winner has officially been announced and it looks like we'll be seeing double from now on.
The actor popped up on Twitter to let fans know that the voting had officially closed and all their opinions had been tallied. Unfortunately, the McRib will not be immortalized inside of Macaulay's middle name but something just as amazing has happened. Culkin will officially and legally be changing his middle name to "Macaulay Culkin." You read that correctly. His full name will now be Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.
He told the world on Christmas, making sure that people took notice. In his words: "Merry Christmas to me, from all of you! My new middle name has been chosen. You voted and the winner is clear. In 2019 my new legal name will be: Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin. It has a nice ring to it (if you like my name)."
This is a real thing and we couldn't be any happier for him.
