Los Angeles' Jhene Aiko was originally planning to release music in April, but has since changed her plans in the wake of Nipsey Hussle's death. Responding to a fan comment on The Shade Room's IG, Aiko explained her decision to delay her upcoming release, out of respect to Nipsey Hussle's legacy.

"Out of respect for Nipsey, I will be postponing the release of the new music I planned on releasing this month, until I feel the time is right," Aiko commented, when asked specifically about her upcoming musical endeavors. "I want to take this time to remember and reflect on the life of the legendary Nipsey Hussle. Thank you for understanding."
Aiko and Nipsey shared a close friendship, with Hussle having held it down in Aiko's "Hood Edition" of the "Never Call Me" video. It makes sense that she is moving forward with the delay in his honor, and we can only hope she finds peace in the weeks to come. Look for Aiko's new music to arrive in May, and once again, rest in peace to Nipsey Hussle.
