Suggs won't be a Raven for life.

For the better part of two decades now, the Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best defensive teams in the entire NFL. The team has had some incredible defensive talents in Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and of course, Terrell Suggs. Last season, Suggs helped make the Ravens the number one defense in the NFL, although he won't be able to help repeat that as he will be moving on from the squad. The 36-year-old player will be joining the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year $7 million contract according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Suggs was one of those players that many thought would play with the Ravens his entire career, but clearly, that won't be the case now. The Super Bowl-winner isn't the only Ravens defensive player to move on from the team. Safety Eric Weddle was recently released by the Ravens which now puts him on the free agent market.

Tomorrow, March 13th, is the official start date of free agency which means Suggs' contract will only become official as of then, although the framework for the contract has already been put in place.

Suggs began his career in 2003 when he was selected 10 overall by the Ravens. Throughout his career, he has remained consistent as one of the best defensive players in the league.
