2018 was a year filled with ups and downs from Offset. The rapper undoubtedly had a strong run music-wise but unfortunately, he was also hit with a few lawsuits. Offset was sued last year by a man who alleged the rapper's security beat him up after the Met Gala. Apparently, Set hasn't been responding to the suit and now, the plaintiff is demanding that a default judgment comes into play.
According to TMZ, Giovanni Arnold filed documents in court claiming that Offset hasn't been cooperating in this suit. Arnold has now requested that the judge enter a default judgment in the case.
Following a Met Gala after-party, Arnold claims that he tried to get an autograph from Cardi B who shut him down. Although Arnold said this prompted Offset to call on his security team to beat him down, Cardi's team said that the man was being obnoxious and aggressive. A clip that was recorded prior to the beatdown shows Arnold yelling at Cardi for an autograph before taunting her team. Offset then tells him to shut up "Before a n***a beat you out here." Arnold was riled up even more after that, yelling,
Please beat me up! Be a fool, man."
Arnold also sued Cardi B for the altercation, however, she's reportedly been answering the suit.
We'll keep you posted on more updates on the case.
