Solange and 2 Chainz both dropped albums on the same day and by the looks of it, they're both pulling in impressive numbers in terms of stream play. According to Billboard Solange's When I Get Home has debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 43,000 equivalent album units. The publication details how 2 Chainz has pulled in his fifth top ten album since Rap or Go to the League debuts at No. 4 with 65,000 equivalent album units.
Both tapes boast impressive features with Metro Boomin, Playboi Carti, Gucci Mane and more on Solange's 19-track project, while Young Thug, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande and more accompanied 2 Chainz. Since the release, both acts have also dropped off some visuals to keep the album momentum going. Solange released videos for "Almeda" and "Binz" and 2 Chainz dropped off his Ariana Grande featured video to "Rule The World."
2 Chainz's tape also featured backend work by none other than Lebron James who handled all A&R tasks. "It’s been quite the journey to get here and I know I’ve kept y’all waiting long enough.
