Evidently, any rapper to emerge from the current zeitgeist who joins Eminem on a song is "breaching the divide." For one, the Logic - Eminem collab that debuted this week is exactly where the latest edition of the FIRE EMOJI playlist gets its legs.
Love it or hate it, Logic debuted "Homicide" with Eminem, and in doing so, showed a level of courage that would run many of his predecessors mad with envy. For that reason, and due to the fact he successfully breached the generational divide, Logic claims top honors on our playlist this week - not to be outdone by the other billy goat in the ensuing picture post.
If it weren't for the unexpected pop generated by Joyner Lucas' "Devil's Work," Hoodrich Pablo Juan impressive BLO: The Movie would itself a larger plot on our list. Through no fault of his own, Pablo Juan only managed one submission, the Gunna-assisted "Just Vibe." It's not as if any of the other entrants on our FIRE EMOJI playlist were able to do much better. Filling out the list were solid contributions from Young Nudy, Jay Critch, Lil Uzi Vert, Tyga, YG, ScHoolboy Q, and Shy Glizzy.
