When Wrestlemania 35 finally came to a close last night, after 7+ hours of action at MetLife stadium, Becky Lynch was standing tall as the undisputed Women's champion.
Lynch bested Raw Women's champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Live Women's champion Charlotte Flair in the historic "winner takes all" main event match.
Following the conclusion of Wrestlemania 35, UFC star Conor McGregor took to social media to congratulate all three women and tease his own appearance in a WWE ring.
McGregor's tweet reads:
"Congrats to Irelands Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first Champ Champ. Wow! What a match these ladies put on! Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty! Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do. Or could I..."
This isn't the first time that McGregor has flirted with the idea of joining Vince McMahon's promotion, and it seems that the interest is mutual. Stephanie McMahon recently told TMZ Sports that she'd love to have a huge personality like McGregor in the WWE.
Of course, the 30-year old fighter is still teasing a return to the UFC as well.
Despite his recent "retirement," McGregor has been entrenched in an ugly social media feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov, and he is once again angling for a rematch with the undefeated Lightweight champion.
