Charlotte Hornets' rookie sensation Miles Bridges is hoping to bring home the Dunk Contest crown in front of the hometown fans tomorrow night, as he goes up against Dennis Smith Jr. John Collins and Hamidou Diallo.
Ahead of All-Star Saturday night, Bridges took to social media to ask the fans for a few dunk contest ideas while sharing some footage of a recent practice session. Among the highlights was a dunk over Craig, the pizza delivery postmate, while grabbing his $100 tip off the plate of the rim.
Of course, Bridges didn't show off anything too spectacular - he'll want to save the goods for the actual competition - but NBA fans know all too well what he's capable of.
For the uninitiated:
New York Knicks' point guard Dennis Smith Jr. has also been looking for outside help in preparation for his second Dunk Contest. The 21-year old recently revealed that he's been "bouncing ideas" off fellow Fayetteville, North Carolina native J. Cole.
“I got to try to put it on for the Knicks,’’ Smith told the New York Post. “I’ve been bouncing ideas of J Cole on a text group. It should be dope."

All-Star Saturday night, featuring the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest, will get underway at 8pm ET, airing on TNT.
Rules for the 2019 Dunk Contest are as follows (H/T NBA.com):
All four competitors get two dunks in the first round, and have a maximum of three attempts to complete each dunk in both the first round and the final round. Five judges score every dunk on a scale of 6 to 10, resulting in a high score of 50 and a low score of 30.
The two players with the highest combined score for their two dunks advance to the final round, where they will dunk twice more. The player with the highest combined score for his two dunks in the final round will be crowned champion.
