Kehlani dethrones Ella Mai.

Kehlani now earns her second No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart with her While We Wait effort for the week ending in March 9th, putting an end to the reign held by Ella Mai's self-titled debut. In its entry, the project earned 34,000 equivalent album units and reprises the singer's role at No. 1 as she went No. with 2017's SweetSexySavage for one week.

While We Wait also makes its debut at No. 5 on the Top R&B/Hip0-Hop Albums chart, and as previously reported bowed at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart.

As the whole project makes its respective debuts, select tracks also make their own debut on the Hot R&B Songs chart, with the highest of the new entries being the Dom Kennedy assisted "Nunya."

Following after is "Feels" at No. 16, the Musiq Soulchild collab "Footsteps" at No. 17, the 6LACK-assisted "RPG" at No. 20, "Too Deep" at No. 22, and 'Morning glory" at No. 24.

Elsewhere, "Nights Like This," featuring Ty Dolla $ign peaks at No. 4, marking Kehlani's best showing on the chart and topping her No. 6 peak for "Gangsta" back in 2016. "Nights" also climbs to No. 32 on the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart after a 23 percent boost in plays while going from 72 to No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 after earning 10.3 million streams in the United States.
