When WWE's first-ever all-women's PPV, Evolution, came to a close last night, UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey was standing tall with the Raw Women's championship in hand.
Rousey defeated Nikki Bella by way of an armbar to retain the title, which she won back in August at the SummerSlam PPV, but Bella says her feud with The Baddest Woman on the Planet isn't over just yet. Following the main event match, Nikki Bella told the media, "Not great. I’m defeated, and I just feel like the Divas Era is officially over. I’m done, but you know what? With Ronda, it’s not over. When I come back here, I’m going to be a brand new woman that every woman in this women’s division will need to fear.”
In addition to Rousey vs Bella, the Evolution card featured a number of high profile bouts including Smackdown Women's champion Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing Match. Tables, ladders, chairs and kendo sticks all played a part in the thrilling match, which ended when Lynch powerbombed Charlotte through a table off the top rope.
Elsewhere on the card, WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita teamed up to defeat Mickie James and Alicia Fox, while Nia Jax won the 20-woman Battle Royal to earn a future title opportunity.
