Will Smith's Deadshot was one of the standout characters in Suicide Squad. Smith and Margot Robbie held down the film, while everything else seemed to be in disarray. No matter how fans feel about Suicide Squad, it still earned Warner Bros. a boatload of cash. Thinking wisely, Warner Bros. decided to take the better elements from the film, such as Harley Quinn and Deadshot, and move forward with them. We already know Harley Quinn is set to appear in Birds of Prey, and a Joker film with Jared Leto. Now, according to Smith himself, Warner Bros. is in talks to get a Deadshot film off the ground as well.
Smith infamously did a helicopter bungee dive into the Grand Canyon for his 50th birthday, and the veteran actor answered fan questions online during the celebration. When asked about a possible Deadshot film, Smith eagerly responded, "I hope so. I love playing Deadshot. I've really enjoyed that character." He continued on to claim that Warner has spoken to him about the possibility. "They've been talking about it, so if a good idea comes around, we've been having meetings. But I'd love to, I love Deadshot."
