Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn has new teammates.

Birds of Prey is DC and Warner Bros. next venture into the Suicide Squad part of their universe. The film stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and fans can't wait to see the gorgeous actress suited up in her costume again. Robbie was one of the more enjoyable characters to watch in Suicide Squad, so it's great to see that she has committed to playing The Joker's crazed girlfriend for more than one movie.

As reported by Variety, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be joining Robbie in the film, with Winstead playing Huntress and Smollett-Bell portraying Black Canary. Canary is depicted as a blonde-haired Caucasian street fighter who has a scream that can incapacitate living and non-living things. Smollett-Bell, who is the sister of Empire's Jussie Smollett, is obviously not a Caucasian woman, which continues Warner's ethnic casting trend. Another example of this would be the studio casting Will Smith as Deadshot, who was originally a Caucasian man in the comics. The Birds of Prey team will be pitted against an undisclosed Gotham City crime boss, and one can only hope they are brining Black Mask into the fold.

Birds of Prey is slated to hit theaters on February 7, 2020.
