He still thinks Weezy is the GOAT.

Many people are hyped about Lil Wayne's latest drop Tha Carter V. The album was highly anticipated and a decade in the making, creating a lot of buzz as the artist was preparing for his overdue roll-out. Charlamagne Tha God, however, wasn't quite impressed with his first experience of Wayne's new work. During an episode of The Breakfast Club, the radio host mocked the music.

Charlamagne went on a bit of a rant about the material, emulating Weezy's flow with made-up lyrics. The song in question was the Travis Scott-featured "Let It Fly."

Since then, Charlamagne has had time to listen to the project in full. Although he hasn't recanted his remarks completely, he did add some nuance to his opinion.

"I finally got to listen to #C5 a couple of times this weekend. Good album. It’s definitely not wack like some of y’all saying and it’s definitely not album of the year like some of y’all saying but it’s Good. Not like this album was going to have any affect on Wayne’s resume anyway. He was a certified goat 10 years ago. Just my opinion tho and I don’t care enough to go back and forth with you n*ggas about it!!"
