Kanye West brought a few friends along with him for the Saturday Night Live season premiere. After bringing out Lil Pump for an interesting performance of "I Love It," and then blessing fans with new music alongside the beautiful and talented Teyana Taylor, West had one more trick up his sleeve. As Adam Driver did the traditional SNL send-off at the end of the show, the crowd of comedians cleared the way for West, Cudi, and 070 Shake. The trio performed "Ghost Town," a track that is widely considered the best song off West's ye album, which he dropped earlier this year.
As if Kanye felt that deep down he didn't do anything controversial for an entire performance, he opted to rock the infamous MAGA hat for the finale. Ignoring that one blemish, the performance was amazing. The band expertly lays down the instrumental, with a searing guitar illuminating the song. 070 Shake comes in with an off-the-wall energy, and Cudi kept it cool while rocking colorful shorts and a broad grin.
West is expected to drop Yandhi this weekend, which would be his third studio album of the year. The project was scheduled to drop after the performances, but nothing has arrived yet.
