Just because the Duke Blue Devils have been eliminated from the NCAA Tournament doesn't mean that the Zion Williamson highlights have to stop.
On Tuesday, video surfaced of Zion Williamson throwing himself an off-the-backboard alley-oop during a pickup game with students on the Duke campus. As seen in the footage embedded below, it looked like the hoop was about to come crashing to the floor as a result of Zion's thunderous dunk.
It's unclear exactly when the video was taken, but we wouldn't be surprised if the 18-year old phenom wanted to get back on the court to blow off some steam following the Blue Devils' recent loss to Michigan State.
In his one and only season at Duke, Williamson averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game, while winning the Wayman Tisdale Award as the nation's top freshman. In addition to being named ACC Player and Rookie of the Year, Zion and his teammate RJ Barrett both earned AP All America First Team honors.
The Duke duo are just the second freshman teammates to make All America First Team in the same season, with the only others being DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall during their 2010 season with the Kentucky Wildcats.
Zion has not yet officially declared for the 2019 NBA Draft, but that's just a formality at this point. The future #1 overall pick could be looking at a $100 million sneaker deal, and he is rumored to decide which brand he'll sign with prior to the NBA Draft Lottery on May 14.
