Zion and RJ become first freshman teammates since 2010 to earn All-America First Team honors.

The 2019 Associated Press All-America teams were announced today, as Duke Blue Devils freshmen Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett became just the second freshman teammates in history to earn First Team honors. The only other time two freshman teammates were selected to the All-America First Team was back in 2010 when the Kentucky Wildcats' DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall set the bar.

In addition to Williamson and Barrett, Murray State's Ja Morant, Tennessee's Grant Williams and Michigan State's Cassius Winston also made the AP All-America First Team.

This is just the latest achievement for Williamson, who has already been named ACC Player and Rookie of the Year, in addition to winning the Wayman Tisdale Award as the nation's top freshman. The projected #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

Meanwhile, RJ Barrett led the Blue Devils with 22.9 points per game, while averaging 7.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. He too earned All-ACC honors.

Ja Morant catapulted to the top of draft boards in his sophomore season with the Murray State Racers, and he's projected to be a Top-3 selection along with the two stellar Dukies.

Morant led the nation with 10 assists per game while averaging 24.6 points en route to becoming Murray State’s first first-team All-American.

Grant Williams, the SEC Player of the Year for the second straight season, averaged 19 points per game while shooting 57% and had 7.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists. Last but not least, Spartans point guard Cassius Winston averaged 18.9 points and 7.6 assists in his junior year, as he has guided Michigan State to the Final Four this weekend.
