Ryder Cup 2018 pairings & matchups revealed.

The 2018 Ryder Cup, which pits a team of U.S. golfers against a team of Europeans, will kickoff in the wee hours of the morning on Friday at Le Golf National near Paris, France.

U.S. captain Jim Furyk and European captain Thomas Bjorn announced the matchups at a lengthy opening ceremony today, in which it was revealed that Tiger Woods and his partner Patrick Reed will be playing in the "anchor match" of the morning four-ball session against Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood.

“I think the fact that Tiger spent so much time with Jordan (Spieth) and Patrick the last couple years; their knowledge of each other's games, surely of Tiger knowing Patrick's game, helped a significant amount,” Furyk said, per RyderCup.com. “You know, again, a number of different reasons. I think different styles of games, as well. I think, you know, Patrick's a guy that really enjoys that moment and enjoys that big stage, and Tiger's the one that brings it.”

The first four matches are as follows:

Match 1 (2:10 a.m. ET): Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka vs. Justin Rose and Jon Rahm

Match 2 (2:25 a.m. ET): Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson vs. Rory McIlroy and Thorbjorn Olesen

Match 3 (2:40 a.m. ET): Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas vs. Paul Casey and Tyrrell Hatton

Match 4 (2:55 a.m. ET): Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed vs. Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood

Live TV coverage of the 2018 Ryder Cup will take place from 2am to 1pm on the Golf Channel, as well as streaming via RyderCup.com. The three-day event will conclude on Sunday.
