"There's been dozens and dozens of people that can declare him guilty of cheating."

Sports columnist Rick Reilly recently wrote a new book titled, "Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump," in which he describes how President Trump is a known cheater on the golf course.

According to the Associated Press, "Reilly documents dozens of examples of underhanded golf behavior by the president, transgressions talked about by pro golfers and duffers alike."

"In golf, he's definitely not exonerated," Reilly told the AP. "There's been dozens and dozens of people that can declare him guilty of cheating."

Per the AP:

"One infamous instance came in a 2017 round with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson, who is the current No. 1 player in the world. The president’s playing partner, Fox Sports golf analyst Brad Faxon, reported that Trump’s offenses included putting down a score that didn’t account for two balls he hit into the water on one hole."

"Sports announcer Mike Tirico says Trump once threw Tirico’s golf ball off the green into a nearby bunker when they played together."

Though Reilly notes that Trump is a good golfer for his age, he didn't find any evidence that the President actually won 18 club championships as a golfer, as he claims he did. In fact, Reilly didn't find any proof that Trump won even one club championship.

In an interview with Golf.com, Reilly mentions:

"Arnold Palmer once told me that he never did a business deal until he played 18 holes with the guy. He said he could find out exactly who a guy is over four hours. They can’t hide it. And what you find out about Trump in golf is that he has to win. Whatever it takes. He doesn’t care about the money. He has to be the winner and you have to be the loser. And if that means kicking a ball out of the rough, having his caddie lie for him, taking all kinds of mulligans, you are going to lose. He kicks the ball out of the rough so often they call him Pele."
