If you thought Lil Wayne wasn't going to milk the excitement of his long-awaited Tha Carter V project, you were absolutely wrong. After hitting everybody with an unintentional pump-fake last week, Weezy has finally announced that C5 will be released this week. The release will coincide with his birthday, dropping just in time to compete with Kanye West, Logic and Kevin Gates on their albums. A pre-order of the project was announced yesterday alongside physical copies of the project and a promotional t-shirt. It appears as though Wayne is taking the Travis Scott route, almost guaranteeing a #1 album by including a digital copy and a presale ticket to an upcoming headline tour with all purchases. That wasn't all he had planned though as Tunechi has actually collaborated with 14 designers on a limited edition collection of C5-branded merch.

In order to celebrate the news of his often-delayed Carter V, Weezy worked with some of the most influential designers in the world to create an exclusive capsule collection that will be released on his website. Over the next nine days, each design will be released for 24 hours only on Wayne's website. The first product is an airbrushed t-shirt designed by Heron Preston, with an image of the rapper's face on the front and the lyric, "What's a goon to a goblin" sprayed on the back. He explained his design with Highsnobiety, saying he wanted an airbrushed design similar to those in the South, where Weezy hails from. The shirt will be available at 5 PM EST.

Prices are currently unknown but considering he's working with Heron Preston on this first one, don't expect it to be too affordable. The designer's tees will usually run you at least $300. Check out the first piece below.
