If you know anything about Hopsin, you know he worships the ground Eminem walks on. So naturally, when he heard his idol shout him out on his surprise album Kamikaze last night, he was beyond honored.
"I didn't even know he knew who the fuck I was!" he screamed in excitement after playing the clip on his Instagram.
The name drop comes in the Mike WiLL Made It-produced track "Fall," in which Em raps about the various emcees he's influenced throughout his career. "I inspire the Hopsins, the Logics, the Coles, the Seans, the K-Dots, the 5'9"s, and oh, brought the world 50 Cent, you did squat, pissed and moaned," he says.
"This is seriously the BEST FUCKING DAY OF MY FUCKING LIFE!!" Hopsin wrote in the caption of his post. "For years I always wondered if you even knew who I was! God damn! Literally. The. Best. Fuckin. Day. Of. My. Fucking. Life!!!! Period! YOU JUST INSPIRED ME TO MAKE A NEW FUCKING PROJECT! Im bout to hit the studio RIGHT FUCKIN NOW! This was the motivation I needed to stay on track! Thank you EM!"
There you have it, you can now expect new music from Hopsin, all thanks to Eminem's simple shout-out. Watch the clip above.
Hopsin is one of the few rappers mentioned on Eminem's new project who doesn't get dissed in one way or another. Throughout the album, Em takes shots at rappers including Drake, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump, and more. Listen to the album here.
