The 2019 NBA All-Star teams have been picked. Before the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Boston Celtics on TNT Thursday night, LeBron James & Giannis Antetokounmpo picked their squads for the 2019 All-Star game live on TV, and it was pretty interesting to say the least.
James had the first pick and took Kevin Durant, followed by Kyrie Irving second, Kawhi Leonard third, & James Harden rounding up his starting five. James’ reserves include Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Ben Simmons, LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl-Anthony Towns, Bradley Beal, Dwyane Wade.
Meanwhile, Giannis picked Steph Curry first and Joel Embiid second, while grabbing Paul George and Kemba Walker to close out the starting five. Giannis’ reserves include Khris Middleton, Nikola Jokic, Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, D’Angelo Russell, Nikola Vucevic, Kyle Lowry, and Dirk Nowitzki.
Coincidentally, James happened to pick many guys who are unrestricted free agents this Summer, including AD, Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Maybe he’s trying to foreshadow something for next year?
The All-Star game will air Sunday, Feb. 17th on TNT. Check out the participants for the Dunk Contest and 3-point shootout right here if you missed it.
Which team you got winning? Team LeBron or Team Giannis?
