Juelz might be struggling with mental health issues.

It is a shame to see one of the most prominent members of Dipset be restrained to his house while his case is decided by the justice system. Juelz Santana was arrested and pled not guilty earlier this year after he was caught with a gun and prescription medication in his carry on bag while at the Newark Liberty International Airport. He was placed on house arrest at his mother's home while the feds deal with the case, but it looks like his legal issues are becoming more complicated.

According to Bossipfederal pretrial service officer Jennifer Powers believes that Juelz is in need of a mental health evaluation. Powers submitted a request for the talented rapper to get evaluated, and also to start treatment, immediately. The specifics of what made Powers submit the request have not been released, but it was cleared by a judge on the same day it was submitted. For a request to be signed off on so rapidly raises concerns for the state of Juelz's mental health. One could argue that a mental health evaluation and treatment would do much more for rehabilitation than a prison sentence.

In a culture where mental health is largely ignored, and toxic masculinity shames males who open up about their emotional distress, it is enlightening to see Juelz potentially receiving assistance. With all the drama surrounding the Dipset star, we pray that he keeps his head high and takes care of himself.
