It appears Juelz Santana is trying to claim his innocence. According to a report from Page Six, the Dipset rapper has pleaded not guilty to drug and gun charges stemming from his incident at Newark Liberty International Airport last week. If you forgot, Santana fled the scene of Newark airport last Friday after TSA found a gun in one of his bags. Authorities say security personnel also found some oxycodone pills he didn’t have a prescription for in a carry-on bag containing his identification as well. So with that he was slapped with a felony charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
On Wednesday, Juelz Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, reportedly showed up to New Jersey's Essex County Superior Court, where he entered his plea to two state weapons charges and a drug possession charge. His next court hearing is scheduled for April 9.
Currently behind bars, Juelz will reportedly be forced to stay there pending a preliminary hearing on a federal weapons charge, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft. The hearing is scheduled for March 26.
