Before the New York Yankees hosted the Boston Red Sox Friday night ahead of their big 3-game divisional series this weekend, the Bronx bombers allowed NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to grab a bat and take some batting practice with the players before the game. And to our surprise, the Pro-Bowl wide receiver could rake. In fact, OBJ showed off some insane power and actually went yard, hitting a home run over the fence in left field. Following the homer, fans and players erupted in cheer, while Beckham did a quick little dance and shook his hips before getting back in the batter’s box with a wide grin on his face.
Beckham is currently enjoying a short break before the Giants kick off training camp on July 25. The three-time Pro Bowler, who is coming off left ankle surgery from last season, reassured the Giants he will be in attendance for practices even though he has not yet reached the long-term contract extension he desires.
Check out Odell’s homer (below) and sound off in the comments. Are you impressed he went yard at Yankee stadium?
