New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had his season cut short after suffering an ankle injury in Week 5, but he's still making moves off the field. The 25-year old Pro Bowler took to twitter today to tease the release of his first Nike Air Force 1 collab.
In the tweet, Beckham Jr. tagged Foot Locker who then quote-tweeted "stay tuned," suggesting that the kicks may be a Foot Locker exclusive. At the very, least we expect OBJ's AF1s to be available at select Foot Locker locations.
Beckham Jr. re-upped his contract with The Swoosh back in May on a deal that is reportedly worth more than $29 million over the next five years. Furthermore, if certain achievements are reached, the value of the deal could reach as much as $48 million over 8 years.
Nike has been celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the iconic Nike Air Force 1 all year, most recently with collaborative efforts by Travis Scott, Don C, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Errolson Hugh (Acronym), and Virgil Abloh.
Stay tuned for more details regarding Odell Beckham Jr.'s AF1 collab.
