Murray State's sophomore guard Ja Morant is among the elite college basketball players who will hear his name called early in June's NBA Draft - especially if he continues to throw down posterizing dunks like he did on Thursday night.
During Murray State's 98-77 victory against UT Martin, the 6'3 guard channelled his inner Vince Carter with an emasculating dunk over 6'8 forward Quintin Dove. As seen in the footage embedded below, Dove tried to take a charge, a la Frederic Weiss, while Morant took flight.
Morant, 19, finished with 26 points to go along with a game-high 18 assists as the Racers improved to 12-2 on the season. He is currently averaging 23.5 points to go along with 10.5 assists and 6.6 rebounds per night.
Although Morant doesn't play for a traditional college basketball powerhouse like Duke, Kansas, UNC or Michigan State, he will surely be one of the first guard's off the board during the draft. Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo currently has him ranked third overall on his big board, and some NBA Draft sites have him going as high as second, behind Duke's freshman phenom Zion Williamson.
Check out some additional angles of the posterizing dunk, including one with the Jim Ross treatment, in the posts embedded below.
