Rolling Loud has become the largest hip-hop festival in the world and as it continues to expand, the shows keep on getting more and more must-see. This weekend saw the latest edition of their Los Angeles series, bringing Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert, Wiz Khalifa, and many more to the stage. With many of your favorite artists making their way to the festival to perform, it's the perfect opportunity for media to catch up with the musical acts, checking to see what they've got on tap in the near future. During an interview with Power 106, Wiz Khalifa made sure to detail all of his plans for the upcoming year, keeping us all hyped for what's to come.
Despite dropping Rolling Papers II this year, 2018 was still relatively quiet for Wiz. It looks like 2019 could see things ramped up a little though as he's got some major plans for the upcoming months. The rapper confirmed that he will be dropping a joint project with Curren$y, promising that 2009 will see the light of day soon. After teasing an R&B album for months, Wiz seems to have gone back on his initial wish, citing the recent "King of R&B" debate as his reason to back out. "I think I'm just gonna drop some dope ass playa shit," said Wiz before elaborating on why he won't be singing on the new solo album. "I backed out, that's what happened. I got scared after all the talk. I was like, I am not the king of that."
He went on to give Chris Brown some major shine, saying he's the rightful king of the last generation of R&B. Are you looking forward to some new music from Wiz?
