Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram weren't the only people ejected during Saturday night's brawl between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.
Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis was also kicked out of the arena for yelling profanities at Chris Paul as he made his way back to the locker room following the scuffle with Rondo. The singer was also seen giving CP3 the middle finger and screaming at a member of the Rockets staff before he was escorted out.
As a result of the fight, in which it appeared that Rondo spit on Paul before fists were thrown, the NBA has suspended the Lakers point guard for three games. Paul was handed a two-game ban, while Lakers forward Brandon Ingram was issued a four-game suspension for "instigating the overall incident" and throwing a punch during the melee.
"Ingram has been suspended for aggressively returning to and escalating the altercation and throwing a punch in the direction of Paul, confronting a game official in a hostile manner, and instigating the overall incident by shoving Rockets guard James Harden," the league said in a statement. "Rondo has been suspended for instigating a physical altercation with, and spitting and throwing multiple punches at, Paul. Paul has been suspended for poking at and making contact with the face of Rondo, and throwing multiple punches at him."
Paul served the first game of his suspension on Sunday as the Rockets fell to the Clippers 115-112. Rondo and Ingram will begin their suspensions tonight as the Lakers host the San Antonio Spurs.
