When fans meet their favorite celebrities, they are often left with stories whose level of excitement or particularity might be overestimated based on their overwhelming admiration. This might not be the case for the person who managed to mistake Samuel L. Jackson for John Travolta. The admirer made the questionable mistake when attending a To Kill a Mockingbird party.

“The opening-night guest who appeared to have had one too many drinks” saw Uma Thurman hanging out with Jackson at the Harvard Club event. The enthusiastic fan “started shouting, ‘Do the dance! Do the dance!’ ” at the actors, a request that appeared to be a reference to a notable scene in Quentin Tarantino's 1994 classic, Pulp Fiction. This dance, however, was one that was performed by Thurman and John Travolta.

Jackson addressed the confusion directly, responding to the mistaken fan, “I think you have me mixed up with someone else.”

Apparently, the message wasn't received clearly. Onlookers say they witnessed the person pursuing his attempts to get the duo to bust out the famous choreography. Then, someone intervened firmly by saying, "This is not that kind of party." The event did not have a dancefloor. It also did not feature any music.
