Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, aka Miss Universe 2017, are getting married.
Tebow, 31, took to instagram today to share the news along with photos of the proposal and a caption that reads: @demileighnp Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world. You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
Nel-Peters, 23, also posted some photos for her 1.3 million followers. The post reads, “Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you! @timtebow.”
Tebow was previously linked to fellow Miss Universe winner, Olivia Culpo, in 2015. Last Spring, he told People Magazine that he was ready to settle down and start a family.
“I’m looking, but I just can’t seem to find anyone,” Tebow told People last year. “I don’t want to be single; I’m ready to settle down and start a family. I want to have kids. I have so many things I want. No one will be happier than me when I finally find the right person.”
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner is currently a member of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the New York Mets' AA team.
