As told to ESPN's Pedro Gomez, Tim Tebow recently confirmed reports he is dating 2017 Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. He tells the outlet, "She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life. I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful."
According to the New York Post, dating rumors surfaced earlier this month, after Tebow's sister shared photos of the two on her instagram account. Terez Owens also reported that the 30-year old athlete also gifted the South African native a David Yurman necklace for her 23rd birthday last month.
Tebow, 30, was previously linked to fellow Miss Universe winner, Olivia Culpo, in 2015. Last Spring, he told People Magazine that he was ready to settle down and start a family.
“I’m looking, but I just can’t seem to find anyone,” Tebow told People last year. “I don’t want to be single; I’m ready to settle down and start a family. I want to have kids. I have so many things I want. No one will be happier than me when I finally find the right person.”
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner currently plays for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the New York Mets' AA team.
