A Batman costume from the 1995 Batman Forever film worn by Val Kilmer and designed by Rob Ringwood and Ingrid Ferrin is on display at the DC Comics Exhibition: Dawn Of Super Heroes at the O2 Arena on February 22, 2018 in London, England. The exhibition, which opens on February 23rd, features 45 original costumes, models and props used in DC Comics productions including the Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman films.
DC is taking a huge step forward.

DC Comics appears to be one step behind Marvel when it comes to their entertainment department. Yes, DC does have a range of popular television shows (Arrow, Gotham, Black Lightning) and animated films (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Justice League: Doom, Batman: Under the Red Hood) but they haven't hit their full potential the way that Marvel has. Now, DC Entertainment has announced a game changer for their brand, a new streaming service.

DC Universe will be a first, and hopefully, the streaming service will be a successful platform that will help the comic book company compete with Marvel. According to The Hollywood ReporterDC Entertainment's streaming service will combine a catalog of decades worth of television shows, movies, and comic books to create a one-stop shop for everything DC. Entitled DC Universe, the streaming service is set to launch later this year with a beta rolling out this Summer. Fans can expect a periodically updated catalog of curated DC comic books, films such as Batman Begins and the original Superman movies, animated favorites such as the Batman series from the 90's, and a long list of other goodies. DC will also release new original content exclusively on the streaming service. A shop will be featured on the app as well, and will offer fans exclusive items. If that isn't enough, DC Universe will have a news section included to keep fans up to date with everything happening in the world of DC comics.

“DC Universe is so much more than a streaming service,” stated DC publisher and chief creative officer Jim Lee. “It’s a welcoming place for everyone to immerse themselves in their own level of DC fandom, with the epic characters, stories, and experiences they have come to expect from DC. We are investing in and creating original, high-quality shows including the new Titans series, and curating the most beloved nostalgic content, while at the same time elevating the comic reading experience to new heights. Nothing this robust has ever been offered to fans before.”
