The possibility of a Wu-Tang Clan reunion album has been in the talks for a long time, and it's finally coming to fruition in November (if all goes as planned). Fans will be happy to hear that even though Ol' Dirty Bastard passed away in 2004, he'll still be featured on the album, with previously unheard material.
Wu-Tang affiliate Inspectah Deck revealed the news in an interview with The Line Of Best Fit. Deck said, "RZA has a bunch of Ol' Dirty tracks and verses that for years nobody's heard and, from my last conversation [with RZA], we're supposed to have an Ol' Dirty track on there. It may be by itself or we might join it on to another song. But Ol' Dirty is going to be part of this album, that's a fact."
Although a ODB appearance sounds like its guaranteed, the record itself still seems to be in the creative process. Although the album title was announced as A Better Tomorrow back in April, Ghostface Killah recently revealed that that title is not set in stone. He said, "We putting that all in the making right now. I don't know if that's gonna be the title. That got thrown out there like that, but we really putting it together as we speak. What we dealing with, we're gonna bless the world soon."
Deck continued to say that the album is now set to be released in November some time, previously scheduled for July. Finally Deck said that although this is a 'reunion' album, it doesn't have to be the Wu's last LP. "People are perceiving this as our last one, but it doesn't have to be," Inspectah Deck said. "People look at you for what you did last, so it depends really on the success of this one. If this one does really well, then I'm pretty sure we'll come together for another one."
