The Cleveland Browns have reportedly traded running back Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a fifth round pick.

Hyde, who signed with Cleveland as a free agent during the off-season, rushed for 382 yards and five touchdowns in six games with the Browns. Rookie running back Nick Chubb will get the bulk of the carries now that Hyde has been removed from the equation. Chubb only has 16 rushing attempts this season but has turned that into 173 yards, including a long of 63 yards, and two TDs.

Following Cleveland's 38-14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, head coach Hue Jackson admitted they needed to get Chubb the ball more.

“We need to get more," said Jackson. "There’s nothing else to say. We need to get him more chances, but sometimes the game changes, you get behind and you need Duke Johnson out there because that’s what he does well - catch the ball and run it. That’s what you were seeing yesterday. As these games get a little closer, they do not get too far away and we can get up whatever that is, we do need to give Nick Chubb more carries.”

The Browns, 2-3-1, will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7.

As for the Jags, star running back Leonard Fournette has already been ruled out for their Week 7 matchup against the Houston Texans. Fournette has only appeared in two games this year and has 20 carries for 71 yards.
