LeBron James gave the Los Angeles Lakers a glimmer of hope last week when he played his first game since going down with a groin injury on Christmas Day. The Lakers won James' first game back against the Los Angeles Clippers but just a couple of days later, James sat out against the Golden State Warriors. Fans were confused as to why the superstar was sitting out with the team calling it a simple case of "load management." Tonight, the Lakers will be traveling to Indiana to take on the Pacers and it has been reported that LeBron James will be back in the lineup.
It will be a very interesting next few days for the Los Angeles Lakers. They currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference with a record of 27-26 and need to start winning if they want to make the playoffs. The trade deadline is Thursday and rumors are swirling over whether or not the Lakers will be able to pick up New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis.
The Lakers have offered the Pelicans pretty well all of their young stars including Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Lonzo Ball, although the Pelicans are reluctant to make a move.
