Ball injured his ankle against the Rockets.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been riddled with injuries as of late. LeBron James and Rajon Rondo have been out for the last 13 games which has seriously put a dent in the team's depth. It has been up to young players like Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Lonzo Ball to pick up the slack and perform on the court every night. Now Ball is the latest to hit the injury bug, as he sprained his ankle during a game against the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. The team ended up losing in overtime 138-134, with Ball going down in the third quarter.

After undergoing an MRI on Sunday, the team announced that Ball will have to miss four to six weeks, according to ESPN. This will put even more strain on the team as Ball has been a big part of the team's campaign without Lebron in the lineup. The team takes on the Golden State Warriors tonight, which was already going to be a hard enough game as it is.

There is some hope though for the Lakers. Rondo and James have been cleared for full-contact practice which means they should be returning to the lineup soon.

The Lakers are currently ranked ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 25-22.
