Porzingis seems to be excited to be in Dallas.

Last week the New York Knicks shocked the basketball world by trading their 7'3" superstar Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for some cap space and Dennis Smith Jr. as well as DeAndre Jordan. While Porzingis is out with an ACL injury, he is already being acclimated to Dallas and in a new press conference with Mavs owner Mark Cuban, it is being revealed that he intends to play in Texas long-term.

According to ESPN, Porzingis was asked if he wants to play in Dallas for the long haul, Cuban interjected saying "I can answer that for you. Yeah, he does." Porzingis than followed up by saying "We're on the same page. Don't even ask."

Later on, in the press conference, Porzingis talked about the possibilities and opportunities that are available with the Mavs.

"I get excited every time I think about it," Porzingis said. "I really think we can be something special. I think about basketball 24/7, and I really see us being very special on the court and fun to watch, so I'm excited about it."

ESPN then caught up to Cuban after the presser to ask if he's worried that Porzingis may eventually sign elsewhere.

"It's not a concern I have," Cuban said to ESPN. "Everything so far, all the conversations so far, have been very positive. Unless it's something that we don't expect pops up, hopefully, he'll be a Maverick for the next 20 years."

The Mavericks are ranked 12th in the Western Conference with a record of 24-28.
