6lack had a tour stop in New York last night performing at the Hammerstein Ballroom for the second day in a row. He had fans extra happy when he brought out Ella Mai for a cute little performance, singing her beloved song, "Trip." 6lack's former collaborator, Ty Dolla $ign, was also at the spot watching on from the VIP balcony, cheering on his homie as he had the crowd going wild.
We assume the link up was just a timely event of three like-minded R&B artists who happen to be in the same city at the same time, but we're kind of hoping it could lead to a collaboration. Ty and 6lack have previously worked together on Khalid's "OTW" but we don't have a song with the likes of Ella on there as well.
6lack shouted out Ella on his Instagram story detailing how her track "Close" from her debut album was something special. Maybe he'll drop a verse for a special remix? If and when it happens, we're here for it.
