Is Cavill the next big action star?

Tom Cruise has returned for the sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible series, and the critics are claiming it is the best one in the franchise. Mission Impossible: Fallout continues the story from the previous film, and features newcomer to the franchise Henry Cavill. Although he may be new to Mission Impossible, Cavill is no stranger to blockbuster films. He has famously spent the last five years playing Superman, a role that has given him ups and downs. One of the down points in Cavill's Superman saga was the digital removal of his mustache so he could film Fallout. It appears Cavill made the right decision to trust Mission: Impossible over Justice League, because the former is dominating the box office.

Cavill sat down with Yahoo Movies to discuss his role in Fallout, and he also touched on the idea of playing another great spy.  "Ah, James Bond," laughed Cavill when asked about taking the role. "I would love to do it of course. I think Bond would be a really fun role. It’s British, it’s cool. I think that now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge we can do real stunts and really amp it up as well."

"Not to say they weren’t doing real stunts," he continued.  "I’m just saying it would be fun for me to actually take what I’ve learned on this and carry it through to a movie like Bond. I’d love to play a Brit. I don’t get to play a Brit very often. So yes, I would love the opportunity and if they were to ask I would say “yes.”
