Boogie joins the ever-growing PUMA basketball roster.

Golden State Warriors' center DeMarcus Cousins has officially joined the PUMA basketball roster. Cousins had signed a "lucrative" multi-year sneaker deal with PUMA earlier this month, according to ESPN's Nick DePaula, but Nike had a 10-day window to exercise their match clause. As it turns out, they were willing to let Boogie walk.

Cousins, 28, has been repping for Nike since he entered the NBA and has laced up several "DMC" Nike PEs as well as classic Air Jordans over the years. Due to an achilles injury he suffered in late January, Cousins might not return to the floor until midway through the season but this is another huge get for PUMA, a brand that has already secured several young stars.

In their first year back in the basketball space after a 20-year hiatus, PUMA signed a number of promising rookies including the #1 overall pick DeAndre Ayton, the #2 overall pick Marvin Bagley III, Kevin Knox, Michael Porter Jr, and Zhaire Smith. Additionally, Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier and veteran forward Rudy Gay have also signed on with the brand.

Cousins - like Ayton, Knox, Rozier and other PUMA ambassadors - will be rocking the Puma Clyde Court Disrupt this season once he's healthy enough to return to action.
