Nike has 10 days to match PUMA's offer.

Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins has reportedly signed a "lucrative" multi-year sneaker deal with PUMA, according to ESPN's Nick DePaula. Although Boogie has reached an agreement with PUMA, Nike still has 10 days to exercise their match clause.

Cousins, 28, has been repping for Nike since he entered the NBA and has laced up several "DMC" Nike PEs as well as classic Air Jordans over the years. Due to an achilles injury he suffered in late January, Cousins might not return to the floor until midway through the season but it'll be another huge get for PUMA if they can lock up the All-Star big man to a long-term deal.

In their first year back in the basketball space after a 20-year hiatus, Puma signed a number of promising rookies including the #1 overall pick DeAndre Ayton, the #2 overall pick Marvin Bagley III, Kevin Knox, Michael Porter Jr, and Zhaire Smith. Additionally, Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier and veteran forward Rudy Gay have also signed on with the brand.

Along with Cousins, Nike is also in danger of losing Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward, who signed an offer sheet with Chinese sportswear brand Anta last week. Like Cousins' deal, Nike has 10 days to decide whether or not to match the Anta offer.
