Drake looks back on how he tried to help Cyntoia Brown.

Yesterday, we received some amazing news as Cyntoia Brown was granted clemency after being sentenced to life in prison for killing a man who bought her for sex at age 16. Her sentencing was a topic of conversation for many celebrities with the most vocal being Kim Kardashian, T.I. and others. Many reacted to the news when the Governor of Tennessee announced that he would be granting Brown clemency, including Drake who reflected on what he's tried to do to help her out.

The Canadian artist posted on his Instagram story that he couldn't be any happier about the decision to grant the 30-year-old clemency. Kim Kardashian is actively working on a criminal justice reform but it appears as though Drake was interested in getting involved too. He wrote, "This makes me so happy. I remember me and @futuretheprince getting on the phones calling everyone trying to see if there was anything we could do about this situation and now Cyntoia was finally granted clemency!"

The case was made public a few months ago as Kim Kardashian urged people to get involved in the fight for Brown's clemency. The rap community has been ecstatic about the news with T.I., Meek Mill, and others also speaking out.
