Miguel was reportedly arrested for a DUI in L.A. early this morning, which is the first run-in he's had with the cops since blowing up. Hopefully he doesn't follow in the footsteps filled with legal troubles of his fellow r'n'b singer Chris Brown.
TMZ reports that the infamous leg-drop singer was driving his 2013 BMW X6 around 2:15 AM this morning, when the California Highway Patrol officers initially flagged his vehicle for speeding and tinted windows.
When the cops stopped Miguel's car, they notice he smelled of alcohol, and so decided to perform sobriety tests on him, which he failed. The "Adorn" singer blew a .10 and .11 on the breathalyzer, which is above California's legal limit of .08.
The singer was arrested for a DUI and taken to a nearby station where he was booked. He left a few hours later on $5,000 bail.
He's scheduled to appear in court in September. No word on this from Miguel yet, but we'll keep you posted.
[UPDATE: Miguel Has Been Charged With A DUI]
Miguel has been charged with two counts of drunk driving, stemming from his arrest on August 15th in L.A. which we reported on above.
Cops say that Miguel was cooperative during his arrest, and will face a judge in court next week.
We'll update once that happens.
