Hulk Hogan is one of the WWE's most important figures and has been around wrestling for decades. He has pretty well seen it all and there is no doubt that of all the people that could deliver a tribute to "Mean" Gene Okerlund, who passed away last week, Hogan would be one of the best. Last night on Monday Night Raw, Hogan did just that.

The wrestler ran into the ring with a "Mean" Gene Okerlund shirt and delivered a 5-minute tribute to the famous WWE interviewer.

"You know something guys, I came out here wide open tonight in character because that's exactly the way 'Mean' Gene woulda wanted it," Hogan told the crowd.

"I want to let all you guys know, 'Mean' Gene loved entertaining and he loved entertaining everybody here in the WWE universe," Hogan said. "I love you, 'Mean' Gene. I miss you."

At one point the crowd started to chant "Thank You, Mean Gene" which prompted Hogan to stop his tribute and listen to the crowd go.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund passed away at the age of 76 on January 2nd after health complications from a bad fall in December.
